Q: How does this differ from regular keyword search on the website?

A: The system has been tailored in numerous ways by the AskUpstream development team, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering and Style Conditioning, Middleware Orchestration, plus for linked referenced Vector Database and Post-Processing Citation Injection as just a few examples. Therefore, the system will summarize an answer and give you a link to read deeper. 

Q: Will my personal data remain safe?

A: Yes. None of the questions asked or base user info will be shared or accessible to anyone outside Upstream Ag Ventures Inc. Any information collected on the user is only to increase accuracy of types of information to deliver back. 

Q: Is AskUpstream available in any other languages besides English?

A: Yes. AskUpstream is Multi lingual. Upstream is read in more than 125 countries with prominent readership in Portuguese, Spanish and German speaking countries. For those who speak English as a second language, you are able to interact with AskUpstream in your native language. No adjustments needed, just start a new chat and begin interacting with AskUpstream in whichever language you prefer. Available in all languages OpenAI is available in (>50).

Q: Do new editions get automatically added? 

A: Yes. After an article or edition is published it is automatically accessible to AskUpstream so you are interacting with the most up to date information each time you query the system. 

Q: How fast is the functionality?

A: AskUpstream is built on the OpenAI GPT-5 model API. This model, in conjunction with the API calls required can sometimes take 30-45 seconds, depending how long the prompt is and how thorough the answer required is. On average 15-20 seconds is normal. 

Q: Can I export a PDF, or Microsoft Document via AskUpstream?

A: Not at this time. There is a “copy” functionality that enables you to copy the answer and information and paste it where desired. 

Q: Will there be continued progress and upgrades made to AskUpstream? 

A: Yes. V2 is already in the works which will include enhanced features and functionality, aiming to launch by Q1 2026. We are seeking to integrate more resources and tools that can augment the user experience and value derived for users. 

Q: The answer is not relevant to my question. Who do I go to?

Q: Can AskUpstream answer questions on topics outside agriculture?

A: AskUpstream is programmed to not answer questions that are outside the scope of what has been covered in Upstream Ag Insights. If asked about the best watches, or stock picking advice, it will notify you that that is outside the scope of its capability.

Q: Is it available in a mobile friendly way?

A: Yes. Ask Upstream can be used on phones and tablets in the same way.
